About LinShin Canada, Inc.

LinShin Canada, Inc. was incorporated federally in 1992 as a spin-off company for technology transfer of the sustained release insulin implant developed in Prof. Paul Wang's Laboratory of Chemical Biology at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. The Laboratory has received grant and contract supports from The Ethicon Sutures Limited, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, The Medical Research Council of Canada, Health and Welfare Canada, and The Ontario Cancer Research and Treatment Foundation. The implants are currently used in diabetes research centers everywhere.
